A Message from Principal Rick Shore
Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to Secondary DAEP. My name is Rick Shore, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of this campus. At Secondary DAEP, our mission is to provide students with the structure, support, and encouragement they need to make meaningful progress both academically and personally. We believe every student is capable of growth and success, and we are committed to helping them return to their home campuses better prepared to achieve their goals.
I bring over two decades of experience serving students in Houston ISD. I began my career as a computer literacy teacher at Fondren Middle School and later served as Assistant Principal at Lamar High School, where I oversaw a successful intervention program focused on helping at-risk students and those with social-emotional challenges graduate. I also served as Dean of Instruction at Waltrip High School and Dean of Students at Milby High School. While at Milby, I was proud to be part of a leadership team that significantly improved student achievement across all academic areas.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
It is my privilege to work with your students during this important time of reflection and growth. I look forward to partnering with you to support their success and eventual reintegration into their home schools.
